Marcel Lapierre was a phenomenal natural wine guy, based out in Morgon in the Beaujolais. He was one of the first natural wine champions in France. He started off as a conventional winemaker but did a massive u-turn after meeting Jules Chauvet, the father of the natural wine movement in France. Here Marcel talks about the recent winemaking history in the Beaujolais to give you an idea of what has happened and why.
Marcel passed away quite suddenly at the end of 2010. Thank you Marcel for your invaluable contribution to the cause of natural wine.
